“I would like to take this opportunity to thank you Graham for organising such a wonderful trip for us all. From the start to the finish it was the most extraordinarily fantastic experience. At times it was hard to hold back the emotions that each day brought to me. I have wanted to visit the Maasai Mara for as long as I can remember and your foresight in bringing this opportunity to keen photographers has made my dream come true.

As you have said in your vlogs the Sarova Mara Game Camp made us all so very welcome and the staff there went above and beyond to give us an awesome experience. Ken our guide/driver was so full of knowledge which he imparted with great enthusiasm.

I also wanted to add that anyone thinking of joining Graham on a future trip to Kenya which he may organise should grab the opportunity with both hands. You will not be disappointed.”

I’ll meet you at Nairobi’s JKIA International Airport and we’ll travel together to our comfortable hotel in the city. The next morning we will be driven to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to take a breathtaking 45 minute flight, landing on a dirt airstrip inside the Maasai Mara National Reserve. We will be met by our expert guide, Ken, who will transfer us to our lovely tented Camp which will be our base for the next 6 nights. You’ll sleep in your own wonderful tent (complete with double bed, wifi, wardrobe, writing desk and permanent shower room) within the camp grounds and you’ll enjoy some of the best hospitality that Kenya has to offer on a full-board basis.

Our twice-daily game drives will allow us plenty of time to explore the Mara and you can expect to see lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetah, zebra, hippos, hyena, gazelles, warthogs, elusive leopards, rare black rhino as well as hundreds of species of birds including kingfishers, vultures, long-crested eagles, lilac-breasted rollers, cranes and storks.

Our group will enjoy the exclusive use of a custom, open-sided Landcruiser which means you will be able to concentrate fully on your photography. I’ll provide on-the-spot tuition in the vehicle so you’ll be able to make the most of every photo opportunity. In terms of photography content, we’ll concentrate on everything associated with Safari Photography including camera modes and setting, focussing, ISO, composition and post processing. There will be time set aside at camp for 1-to-1 image reviews and, of course, plenty of time to enjoy a drink by the pool!

After 6 nights we will fly back to Nairobi where you can continue your African adventure or begin your journey home.

You’ll leave Kenya having had the most memorable adventure and with new thousands of photos, a group of new friends, memories to last a lifetime and probably with a desire to return to Kenya as soon as you can! Please read the comments by my previous guests and see video highlights from my April 2018 trip.

“Before I went on safari I had a lot of concerns, mainly the natural worries about health and security when traveling to a new destination, despite being an experienced traveler.  Your organizational skills and planning made all these worries void. From our arrival in Nairobi and through to the end of the trip I was able to relax and just enjoy the experience.  The team that you have gathered plus the hotel staff made the holiday an unforgettable experience,  indeed the holiday of a lifetime.

“Despite having some expertise in photography, I learned a lot from you and there are some shots that I can now take on, that I previously would have been clueless to tackle.  I have been applying those lessons since getting back to Aberdeen and its nice to have extra skills acquired on such a memorable trip.

I also learned a lot outside of photography, particularly about our privileged life here and how we can meaningfully provide help to people less fortunate.  So without having that agenda the trip was extremely beneficial.” – Ian R Booth.
